Chinese BBQ Pork

2 pounds of pork roast

1 small ginger root, peeled and chopped

3 stalks of green onion, chopped

1 tablespoon of cooking wine

2 tablespoons of sugar

5 tablespoons of soy sauce

1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon of oil

1/2 teaspoon of red food coloring



I like to prepare the meat the night before I plan to cook it.

Cut the pork roast into long strips.

Combine the ginger root, green onion, cooking wine, sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oil, red food coloring and pork together in a bowl, wrap and place in fridge, if you are not leaving it in overnight, at least 2 hours before cooking.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Bake for 1 hour.
